3W's of Logo Design

In this article, I am going to tell about the 3W's of Logo art in the digital industry. The 3w's will emphasize on the importance of logo design by telling what is a logo design and why it is important and then give clues about the placement of logo design by where a logo design should be placed.
So, let us start:

1. What is a logo?

A logo is an insignia or an emblem. It is used by almost all countries for their state departments. However, companies also use them. The historical evidence of logo designs go back to Greeks, Romans also used them later. The insignia or emblem on coins of different countries now depicts the logo of those states. In early periods, different type of currency systems used to have their own labels, that today we call logo designs.
Now, companies use logo designs for their self-recognition. As people cannot remember names, or if they can, the names rhyme with different things. Like, the apple of Apple.inc rhymes with real apple however, the logo of the company with a bitten apple is a unique logo design and can be judged by everyone due to its prominence among public.

2. Why it is important for companies?

Logo, as told earlier is an emblem that is used to remind people about certain product, entity or a company. For a company, the logo design is important for the same purpose because the logo is used as recognition of the company. In addition, is used to promote the image of the company to public. Because the image can be placed on the products of the company as well, as can be used for marketing and promotions as a brand image.

3. Where should logo be placed for prominence?

Companies have their own products as well as brand strategies by which they make use of their brand image placement. Most companies place logo on their marketing ads, including bill board advertisements, banner designs and others. They also use the letterheads, visiting cards and other stationery products for organic marketing and promotion of their company.
